The Germ Theory

Do you believe?

Germs are everywhere. The “germ theory” that most people use to explain disease, is a carryover from the early 1800’s. These microscopic organisms are one of the most misunderstood aspects of health. Do you still believe in germs?

Like plant seeds, germs need the proper environment to become recognizable diseases.

The viruses and bacteria we call germs are everywhere. They’re in the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the water we drink. They can only result in disease when our bodies provide a hospitable environment for them to reproduce.

For example, let’s say you inhale some tuberculosis germs. Just because these germs are present does not mean you’ll get tuberculosis. It depends upon many factors, such as the health of your lungs, the function of your immune system, and your overall health.

Chiropractic doctors are interested in the spine because of its influence on the nervous system that controls your immune system and everything in your body.

The nervous system controls the proper function of your lungs and all the other tissues and organs of your body. That’s why your chiropractor is so keenly interested in the integrity of your nervous system. Since the controlling nerve impulses travel through the spinal column, chiropractic care can have an effect on many aspects of health besides back and neck pain.

What are you doing to make germs feel at home in your body?

If the presence of germs automatically caused disease, you would have a constant head cold and suffer from a chronic case of the flu!
