Innate Intelligence

A special intelligence…

Inside the trillions of cells of your body is a “special something” found only in things that are alive. The great thinkers have been fascinated by this special something. What separates living tissue like you, from ice cream cones, automobiles, or granite statues?

Think of innate intelligence as the “software” that makes your body work.

Doctors of chiropractic refer to this vital life force as innate intelligence. Fortunately it requires no conscious thought. It has nothing to do with being “smart” and it works perfectly – unless there is some type of interference.

Your doctor doesn’t heal. He or she gets results by helping restore your inborn ability to heal yourself.

Your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord, and all the nerves of your body help control your innate “life expression.” This intricate web of delicate nerves is in touch with every cell, tissue, organ, and system of your body. Any disruption, irritation, or change in the ability of your nervous system to orchestrate the functions of your body can set the state for disease and ill health. One of the most common nervous system disruptions is the vertebral subluxation complex.

Upon conception you were endowed with the innate intelligence needed to organize and run your body.

When bones of the spinal column lose their normal motion or position, they can rub, choke, or irritate the spinal cord and nerve roots. This is why your chiropractic doctor is interested in innate intelligence. Removing interferences to the function of your nervous system allows your body’s inborn healing ability to do its job.
